Product Description
A plastic spring foot valve is a corrosion-resistant check valve and strainer used at the submerged end of a pump's suction line (in a well or tank).-
It allows water to flow upward into the pump but prevents it from flowing backward (backflow) when the pump is shut off, which is essential for maintaining the pump's prime.

"Spring" Mechanism: Unlike flap-type valves that rely on gravity, this type uses a spring-loaded disc or poppet inside the valve body.

The pump's suction force easily overcomes the spring, opening the valve.

When the pump stops, the spring forces the disc shut immediately against the seat, creating a tight seal that prevents water from draining back. This provides a more positive and reliable seal, especially in non-vertical or low-pressure applications.
